This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
i noticed you favorite artist is todd mcfarlane...i personally hate the guy...not his art but the man himself for what he did to me at a few conventions....i wish him ill...
but thats not the point...i like the angus...you have a cool style.
i can tell you a quick story...the first meeting was the worst.
i was just starting out in the comic industry,i was 14 and i had some jobs lined up and i was working the nassua 2 show and they gave people like me access to people and areas the public couldn't go...so my friend who has worked with todd said he would bring me to meet him and we waited for a break in the signing and we went to see him.
the guy i was with told me to show what i was working on so i did after the meet and greet..and this is when todd looked at the stuff and looked to the guy "this is fucking garbage, why did you hire this kid...he'll never be anything." i was just destroyed by that and i quit doing comics that week...it wasn't until recent years that i made it my mission to return to comics to make something far and away better than the shit todd puts out....
it wasn't till years later i found that todd really is a dick to up and coming people...when i first met him it was just as spawn first came out so it wasn't like he was everywhere...i can just imagine many a guy who gave up thanks to him and his ego...
the next few times i met him i was working for a comic shop at the shows and he would take a walk around...he remembered me and made it a point to be a dick to me....i guess i was the only 14 year old actually in the industry on a pro level...i don't know...i was weird looking too so of course i could be remembered...i was the punk rock kid at the show
but to let you know a cool guy...joe quesada,i got a job inking a book for the friend who introduced me to todd and he wanted me at his table at a show...joe came by on a break and actually hung out with us...possibly the coolest moment in comics...he liked my sketchbook and actually had me draw some stuff for him...this was long before he rejoined marvel and became editor in chief....he was kind of sad to hear that i'd quit doing comics and only did the inking for the quick cash...i told him the todd stories and he blurted out "todd did that shit to me man."
at that point i left comics entirely...todd killed any love i had for the medium...joe understood and wished me luck and hope i'd come back someday...
i used to do security at jones beach in ny...i didn't last long but the most notable event was a guy from def leopard (not exactly sure who or the band it was either iron maiden or a def leopard) hit the guy standing right next to me with a limo...i remember...he was a guitar player for leopard....he was the guy everyone thought of as a nice guy but he ordered his driver through the security check without stopping because he didn't want to deal with it...
the dude sued and got a a million bucks for that....my career ended with my back being broken at ozzfest a few months later...had i been maybe a foot closer i'd be a millionaire...
you see with todd he started doing these debates with people and he had an article in wizard about how great he was...so he's really out there with the ego...think about it...he bought the mark mcgwire homerun ball anonamously....then he started a tour for the ball and to show how cool he is...if i bought something privately i'm going to keep it quiet...
but thats not the point...i like the angus...you have a cool style.
